About me:

Bio:

Sarah Katz is a 2025 Boston College graduate from Parsippany, New Jersey. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and a minor in Digital Art, Sarah is a devoted academic and artist. In her research as an International Studies major she has worked tirelessly studying social movements and how they are disseminated and preserved through physical media. Her love for the materiality of human communication permeates her projects as a Digital Art minor, which have focused on photography and printing. Sarah’s ambitious and creative self-portraiture Senior Art Minor project entitled (How) Do You See Me? summates her work as an artist at Boston College, investigating the rift (or lack thereof) between how others perceive her and how she perceives herself. Outside of the classroom, her involvement in and leadership of the University Chorale has been an essential aspect of her collegiate accomplishments. She excelled in graphic design and digital art in her Junior year as Director of Publicity, and her successive tenure as President was extraordinary, and a testament to her efficient, poised, and personable leadership style. Sarah has also worked for three years as an employee of Boston College’s Media Technology Services, with a focus on digital editing and photography.

The Fun Stuff:

When she’s off the clock, Sarah is a die-hard NJ Devils and NY Mets fan who’s always ready to cheer (or commiserate). She lives for music…especially the kind that lets her belt out unhinged playlists mashing up show tunes and heavy metal. A former radio DJ at WZBC, she loved cooking up chaotic, genre-bending shows with friends and family. Sarah dominates at trivia (pop culture is her sweet spot) and takes great joy in humbling her loved ones with random facts. Anime, TV, and all things nerdy are her domain, and yes, she’s a certified yapper, so pull up a chair.
